Onboarding or Implementation — which one's yours?
Onboarding and Starter are two different services for two different moments. Here’s the difference, straight.
Onboarding fits if:
- You're still figuring out whether HubSpot is right for your company.
- Your sales team is between 1 and 10 people.
- You need HubSpot working now — no long project.
- Your sales process doesn't need complex automation yet.
- You bought HubSpot Starter or CRM Suite Starter.
Look at Professional if:
- You need automated workflows or lead scoring.
- Your sales team runs on email sequences.
- You need more than one pipeline, or custom reports.
- You'll be operating across more than one Hub (Marketing + Sales, say).
- You already had a first run at HubSpot and outgrew it.
Three sessions, your portal configured, your team trained.
Every session has a clear goal. No “alignment” calls, no unnecessary check-ins.

What people ask us most about Onboarding.
What's the difference between Onboarding and Implementation Starter?
Two services for two different moments. Onboarding is lighter — we guide you and configure the portal alongside you in collaborative sessions. It's the right call if your case is fairly simple and you want to be up and running fast. Implementation Starter ($2,500) goes deeper: we build everything ourselves — migrated data, complex pipelines, integrations — with a more robust technical deliverable. If you're not sure, we'll sort it out together on the diagnostic call.
Do I need to already have HubSpot?
Yes — Onboarding is for teams that already bought HubSpot Starter. If you haven't bought it yet, we'll help you pick the right tier on the diagnostic call first.
What if more complex requirements come up during the process?
If we hit something that's outside Starter's scope — complex automation, integrations, custom objects — we'll flag it and point you to the right service. We won't quietly stretch the scope and surprise you later.
Do the sessions need the whole team present?
No. The training session works best with the full team, but the setup sessions only need whoever owns the HubSpot decisions. And since every session is recorded, anyone who misses one can catch up.
What happens after the 15 days of support?
Most teams are self-sufficient by then. If you want ongoing help maintaining and evolving the portal, that's what Managed Services is for — but it's optional, not a default.
